Her marketing and promotion experience stems from helping develop on-air contests, radio promotions, sales presentations, upfront videos, as well as on-air and traditional promotional campaigns for each of the stations where she's worked, and their respective clients, some of which include The Kimmel Center, Macy’s, Wendy’s and GIANT supermarkets. Some of the more complex projects in which she has participated include the launch campaign of My Network TV in Philadelphia (myphl17), the Philadelphia Mummers Parade, General Motors' The Latino G.R.E.A.T. Jobs! Program, and the PNC Grow Up Great Program (Spanish Campaign).

Vanessa has also been involved in multi-media collaborations such as "Clepsydra: An Operatic Installation with 13 Performers," and continues to work as an independent television writer/producer and professional  photographer.

She holds a B.A. in Film Studies from the University of Pittsburgh, and an M.F.A. in Film and Media Arts from Temple University.
